Lot 848: A Vintage Scalloped White Glazed Ceramic Wall Mirror
A vintage scalloped white glazed ceramic wall mirror, featuring a broad circular frame with a distinctive pie crust edge. The frame is constructed with a rounded, convex profile and finished in a glossy white glaze that covers the entirety of the scalloped moulding. The circular glass mirror plate is recessed within the ceramic border. A white adhesive inventory label is applied to the frame, printed with HCP Auctions South West and Lot 848. A second similar label is visible nearby reading Lot 850. No maker’s marks, signatures, or backstamps are visible on the front of the object.
Condition report:
The mirror is in good vintage condition. The glass plate exhibits significant surface smudging and accumulated dust which requires cleaning (photo 2). The ceramic frame shows some dark marks and dust within the recesses of the fluted design (photo 1). No chips, cracks, or structural repairs are visible to the ceramic frame.
