A woven rattan blanket box or storage trunk of rectangular cuboid form. The piece is constructed with a dense, tightly woven reddish-brown wicker exterior over an internal wooden framework. It features a flat hinged lid that opens to a single storage compartment, secured by two brass-toned metal butt hinges. The weave pattern is uniform across all surfaces, finished with a warm reddish-brown colour. No maker’s marks, manufacturer labels, or country-of-origin stamps are visible on the exterior or interior of the chest.
