Lot 884: HG Toys Star Trek The Motion Picture 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle
A vintage printed cardboard jigsaw puzzle produced by HG Toys as a tie-in for the 1979 film Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The puzzle is presented in its original illustrated box featuring artwork by Bob Peak, whose signature is printed in the upper right quadrant of the front panel. The main title is rendered in stylised rainbow-gradient lettering above the tagline THERE IS NO COMPARISON. The base of the front panel includes a comprehensive cinematic credit block, the Paramount Pictures mountain logo, a copyright notice for MCMLXXIX, and text referencing Star Trek Books from Pocket Books. A yellow square logo containing the characters HG is printed on the side of the box. Two fluorescent pink adhesive labels are affixed to the front, reading LIMITED EDITION and PUZZLE 1000 pieces.
