Lot 481: A really lovely glass fronted cabnit with fuzzy green interior
A mid-20th-century single-unit display cabinet, likely of British manufacture and in the style of Minty of Oxford. The cabinet is constructed with a teak-veneered frame showing a prominent grain and finished in a warm brown tone. The front features two sliding glass doors mounted in aluminium tracks, each fitted with a circular recessed metal finger-pull handle. The interior is divided by a single full-width wooden shelf creating two tiers, with the back and base lined in dark green baize fabric. An internal white electrical cord is present, indicating the unit may have been fitted for interior lighting.
Condition report:
The cabinet exhibits minor surface wear, scuffs, and light scratches to the wood veneer consistent with age and use. The glass doors are present and functional within the tracks. The baize lining shows some light fading and surface marks. The internal electrical cord and any associated lighting components are untested. The ceramic tea service appears in generally fair condition, though individual pieces have not been inspected for minor chips or hairline cracks.
