Lot 728: J. Macdonald Henry (Jamaican, 1928-2007), A Trio of Portrait Drawings
A trio of realistic portrait drawings by the Jamaican artist Edna Jane Macdonald-Henry (1928-2007), likely from the Faces of Jamaica series. The works are executed in graphite pencil or charcoal on white wove paper and depict individuals of African descent. The subjects include a young girl wearing a headscarf, a mother holding her child, and a young boy. Each work is signed by the artist in the lower-left corner. The drawings are presented in uniform, thin black glazed frames.

Condition report:
The paper surfaces are well-preserved and appear largely free of significant foxing, toning, or staining. Some minor specks are visible under the glass. The black glazed frames appear to be in good condition.
