Lot 979: An Assortment of Decorative Glassware, a Sailing Trophy, and a Branded Wooden Crate
An assortment of decorative glass and commemorative items. The collection includes a large cobalt blue glass shade or bowl featuring dense radial ribbing extending from a central aperture. Also present is a pressed amber glass lidded dish with a scalloped edge on the base and a radial starburst pattern on the lid, which is topped with a central finial. The lot includes a red glass spherical paperweight with a controlled-bubble (bullicante) internal pattern, mounted on a tiered wooden and grey-painted display stand. A commemorative trophy is included, consisting of an etched clear acrylic or glass plaque on a black rectangular base with a silver-tone plaque inscribed: 11th Western Circuit sailing regatta, Overall – SB 3 Class, 1st Place. These items are accompanied by a dark-stained wooden storage crate branded with the text BEERS flanked by two five-pointed stars. The crate carries a Liskeard Auction Rooms label for Lot 979.
