Lot 288: A Collection of Mixed Ceramics, Glassware, and Household Collectibles
An assortment of miscellaneous household decorative items and collectibles. The lot includes a Japanese Satsuma-style porcelain teapot and matching cream jug, both decorated with hand-painted figurative scenes and gilt highlights in a palette of orange, red, and gold. Also present is a large circular ceramic vessel or bulb bowl, finished in a blue and white glaze with a scrolling foliate border and pierced ventilation holes to the body. The group further comprises various ceramic plates and saucers with printed decorations, a clear moulded glass candlestick with a faceted stem, and a small ceramic oil lamp featuring pink floral motifs and a brass-tone burner. Metalware includes several silver-tone cream and sugar vessels. Miscellaneous items such as a green fabric first aid kit, small wooden bird carvings, and kitchen utensils are also contained within the lot.
