Lot 924: A 1930s Oak-Cased Grandmother Longcase Clock with Three-Train Movement
A mid-20th-century grandmother-style longcase clock featuring a dark-finished oak case. The case is designed with a domed hump-back hood, a slender trunk, and a rectangular plinth base. The circular silvered dial is set with black Arabic numerals and a minute track, complemented by ornate black hands. Three winding holes indicate a mechanical three-train movement providing time, strike, and quarter-chiming functions. A Silent/Chime (S/C) selector lever is positioned on the dial near the 10 o’clock mark. An auction tag from Liskeard Auction Rooms is attached to the trunk, marked as Lot 924.
