Lot 521: A Collection of Miniature Glazed Ceramic Animal Figurines Attributed to Wade Ceramics
This lot comprises an assortment of miniature animal figurines crafted from glazed porcelain, attributed to the Whimsies series by Wade Ceramics. The collection includes a variety of fauna such as a blue kangaroo, a giraffe, a hippopotamus, an elephant, a lion cub, and several canine figures including a poodle. Each figurine is finished with a characteristic high-gloss glaze in monochrome or multi-tone shades. These items are typical of mid-20th-century English production and were widely collected as desk ornaments.
