Lot 555: An Early 20th-Century Blue Opalescent Pressed Glass Fan Bowl
A fan-shaped bowl crafted from translucent blue pressed glass with a milky-white opalescent crimped rim. The exterior features a moulded Beaded Shell pattern, also known as Rib and Bead, consisting of vertical ribs and a textured beaded ground. The piece is supported by three integral shell-moulded feet. The base is moulded without a pontil mark. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible. Patterns of this type are characteristic of the early 20th-century production from glassworks such as Northwood or Dugan-Diamond.
Condition report:
The bowl is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. There is a small amount of adhesive residue from a previous sticker on the interior.
