Lot 560: A Collection of M. Hohner Harmonicas and Associated Cases
An assortment of M. Hohner harmonicas comprising both chromatic and diatonic models. The group includes a Hohner Marine Band diatonic harmonica in the key of E, featuring chrome-plated metal cover plates and a wooden comb. Also present is a Hohner The Chromonica chromatic harmonica in the key of C, constructed with chrome-plated metal covers, a wooden comb, and a side-mounted slider button. The collection further contains a Hohner Bluesband diatonic harmonica in the key of C with a black plastic comb and chrome-plated metal covers, and a second Hohner diatonic harmonica in the key of G, housed in its original blue and white cardboard box. Accompaniments include a black textured hard-shell case, a white plastic hinged case, and various original cardboard packaging elements.
Condition report:
The harmonicas are in used condition with visible age-related wear. Surface scratching and minor oxidisation and tarnish are present on the metal cover plates. The wooden combs show typical signs of use. Original cardboard packaging shows significant shelf wear, including scuffing and structural weakening. The items are sold as-is and have not been tested for musical pitch or mechanical integrity.
