Lot 611: A Collection of Four Studio Art Glass Fish Figurines
This lot comprises a collection of four stylized art glass fish figurines, likely produced for use as decorative ornaments or paperweights. Each figurine is crafted from heavy, solid clear glass and features internal coloured glass inclusions. Three of the items are decorated with a speckled frit effect in dark blue and white, while the fourth features a layered wave motif in shades of dark blue, turquoise green, and white. The rounded, sculptural forms are consistent with studio glass design from the late 20th century. No maker’s marks, etched signatures, or brand labels are visible on any of the pieces. The aesthetic is reminiscent of British studio glass production from the late 20th century, such as work by Wedgwood Glass or Isle of Wight Studio Glass. One figurine bears a contemporary paper lot label for Liskeard Auction Rooms.
