Lot 731: Hornby OO Gauge LNER Class A3 Pacific Locomotive Flying Scotsman and Tender 4472
A Hornby OO gauge model of the LNER Class A3 Pacific steam locomotive, Flying Scotsman, accompanied by its matching eight-wheel tender. The locomotive features a plastic injection-moulded body finished in LNER apple green livery with white and black lining, mounted on a metal chassis. It has a 4-6-2 wheel arrangement and detailed metal valve gear and driving rods. The locomotive cab side displays the running number 4472 in gold-coloured font with a red shadow. The splasher features a curved nameplate with gold-coloured borders and letters on a green background reading Flying Scotsman. The tender side is marked with the letters LNER in a matching gold and red shadow font and contains a moulded coal load.
