Lot 753: A Collection of UK Decimal Coin Sets and Commemorative Crowns
A collection of UK coins comprising multiple Britain’s First Decimal Coins presentation sets and large-denomination commemorative crowns. Each presentation set is housed in an original blue PVC folder and contains five coins: the 1/2p, 1p, and 2p in bronze, and the 5p and 10p in cupro-nickel, minted between 1968 and 1971. The obverses feature the Arnold Machin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The commemorative crowns include a 1965 Winston Churchill crown, a 1977 Silver Jubilee crown depicting the Queen on horseback, and a 1981 crown for the marriage of the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer. One crown is contained within a branded NatWest plastic pouch. Also included is a small decorative tray featuring a photographic insert of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
