Lot 1020: An Assortment of Mirrors and Framed Wall Decor including a Pair of Tropical Landscape Paintings
A collection of home decor comprising a large wall mirror and a variety of framed artworks. The mirror is set within a rectangular wood frame featuring a tiered, moulded profile and a dark mahogany-toned finish. The art selection includes a matched pair of mid-to-late 20th century oil paintings on canvas depicting tropical coastal scenes with traditional stilt houses and palm trees, housed in matching wide natural wood frames. One canvas stretcher bears a handwritten Germany mark. Also included is an assortment of prints and watercolours, notably a modern graphic print of three puffins in a simple black frame, a botanical watercolour of a poppy in blue and purple tones within a light wood frame, and a print or map in a gilt frame with a beaded inner border. A label for Lot 927 from HGP Auctions South West is attached to one painting, and the mirror bears a small white sticker marked 2020.
