Lot 1067: A Vintage IQ Builders Capsela 1000 Motorised Construction Set

The set comprises various moulded plastic components, including the brand’s signature clear spherical gear capsules, yellow structural beams, red wheels with black rubber tyres, and several electrical components including wires and motor units. The system is engineered to create battery-operated motorized models, such as the motorised marine launch illustrated on the packaging. The set is housed in its original illustrated cardboard box, which features a printed logo reading IQ BUILDERS in blue and white, and the brand name Capsela in a red and yellow stylised font. The box text states the set contains 108 interlocking parts and can be used to build 100 working projects, supporting the National Curriculum Science and Technology Key Stages 1, 2 and 3. A promotional slogan on the front reads Have fun learning how things work. Condition report:
The original cardboard box is in poor to fair condition, showing significant wear. There is a large tear on the top flap with clear adhesive tape repairs (photo 2). The corners and edges exhibit heavy scuffing, creasing, and surface paper loss (photo 1). The internal components are loose within the box (photo 2) and are sold as unverified for completeness. The motorised components and internal gear capsules are untested for functionality.
