Lot 1068: A Vintage Upholstered Club Armchair in a Diamond Motif Pattern
A vintage upholstered club armchair in a diamond motif pattern, designed for domestic lounge use. The chair features a fully upholstered frame supported by four turned light-coloured wood feet. The construction includes large, padded roll arms and piped seams throughout. It is equipped with a loose, square seat cushion and a loose, rectangular back cushion, both upholstered in a matching woven textile. The fabric displays a repetitive geometric pattern of terracotta-coloured diamonds, each containing a central cross motif, set against a beige and tan ground. A small white manufacturer’s or fire safety label is visible on the lower front edge, though the printed text is not legible.

Condition report:
The chair is in used condition. There is visible pilling and surface wear to the fabric, most notably on the tops of the roll arms and the front edge of the seat cushion (photo 1). The cushions show some minor loss of their original loft and shape through use. General surface lint and light debris are present across the upholstery.
