Lot 1069: A Vintage Neo-Rococo Style White Painted and Upholstered Side Chair
A vintage Neo-Rococo style white painted and upholstered side chair. The chair features a distinctive heart-shaped upholstered backrest set within a moulded and carved white-painted wooden frame. The backrest frame is embellished with scrolled volutes where it joins the seat rail, and the entire structure is supported by four cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet. Both the seat and backrest are upholstered in a neutral-toned, coarse-weave fabric, finished with matching cord piping. A rectangular white adhesive auction label is affixed to the upper left side of the backrest, reading HCP Auctions South West at the top, Lot 1069 in the centre, and www.hcpauctions.net at the bottom. No manufacturer stamps, brand labels, or country-of-origin marks are visible on the exterior frame or upholstery.

Condition report:
The upholstery is in poor condition, showing significant soiling, watermarks, and various dark stains across the seat (photo 1 and 3). The fabric on the backrest shows milder discolouration (photo 2). The chair requires professional cleaning or full reupholstery.
