Lot 1126: A Vintage Woven Fiber Storage Ottoman and Four Striped Seat Cushions
A vintage woven fiber storage ottoman and four striped seat cushions, the rectangular chest featuring a white-painted woven fiber exterior with a decorative braided trim applied to the edge of the lid. The lid is upholstered in a light blue-grey crushed velvet fabric and is attached to the body by two metal butt hinges. The internal compartment is constructed with a wooden frame and is finished throughout in a mustard yellow paint. The lot is accompanied by four tufted cotton seat cushions featuring a striped pattern in shades of pale blue, lime green, and cream, each provided with fabric ties for attachment. A white adhesive lot tag is present on the lid reading HCP Auctions South West, Lot 1126, and a white fabric label is sewn into one of the cushions, though the text is not legible.

Condition report:
The white woven exterior shows dark surface marks and accumulated dirt, primarily concentrated along the upper edges (photo 1). The mustard yellow interior paint exhibits multiple scuffs, scratches, and areas of finish loss (photo 2). Pile disturbance is visible on the crushed velvet upholstery of the lid (photo 3). The striped seat cushions show signs of general soiling and light spotting, and some of the fabric ties are frayed (photo 4).
