Lot 604: Two Pairs of Vintage Sterling Silver and Blue Fire Opal Earrings
Two pairs of vintage sterling silver and blue fire opal earrings, comprising a pair of rectangular stud earrings and a pair of decorative drop earrings. The stud earrings feature rectangular panels inlaid with vibrant blue and green mosaic-style lab-created fire opal. The drop earrings are designed as stylized, open-loop teardrops, each featuring a section of matching blue opal inlay and a bale set with small, round-cut clear accent stones, likely cubic zirconia. The earrings are constructed from white metal, identified as sterling silver by an accompanying handwritten label. The set is presented with a handwritten brown cardboard insert reading ‘2 prs of Sterling Silver + Blue Fire Opal Earrings. Res £20 V:932’ and a white adhesive tag reading ‘HCP Auctions South West Lot 604 www.hcpauctions.net’. Small impressed marks are present on the reverse of the studs and the findings of the drop earrings, but they are not clearly legible as specific hallmarks or maker’s marks.

Condition report:
Both pairs of earrings appear to be in good overall condition, showing light surface wear and minor tarnishing consistent with previous use (photo 2). All fire opal inlays and clear accent stones appear to be present and intact.
