Lot 914: A Vintage Regency Mahogany Twin-Pedestal Dining Table
A vintage Regency mahogany twin-pedestal dining table, the top constructed with mahogany veneers and featuring a cross-banded border with dark stringing inlay. The table comprises two D-ended sections and a single removable central leaf, which is secured by metal clips. The top is supported by two turned pedestals, each resting on three splayed and reeded legs terminating in brass box toe caps. The pedestals are connected by a central wooden support rail for structural stability. The tabletop bears a small white rectangular adhesive label printed with the characters ‘Lot 914’. No other maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the underside or base.

Condition report:
The tabletop shows multiple surface defects, including scattered scratches, scuff marks, and several pale heat or water marks (photo 1). There is general wear and rubbing to the edges of the veneer (photo 3). A small white mark or paper remnant is visible on the edge of one of the D-ends (photo 1). The brass toe caps show minor tarnish and oxidation consistent with age (photo 2).
